At the end of 1924 Agatha Christie publishes her first collection of stories, featuring as its name indicates, the ineffable Hercules Poirot. The book is made of 11 short stories, which are easily read. The Belgian detective is becoming increasingly unbearable yet fun. Some of the stories are very well constructed and resolved. Others less so, but are always entertaining. A minor work.
After reading the first five titles of the author, I think I need rest. I will return but I need a break, or otherwise I will end up murdering Hastings and Poirot is certain to discover that it was me.
